The Three Bishops, Brighstone

Been here loads of times and never had any complaints. We normally have a bite to eat and go for the baquettes a meal in it's self. The pub is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Compared to a lot of pubs on the Island these days this one is welcoming and off the beaten track and never crowded when we have been in winter or summer.

The Bugle Inn, Brading

Came here for the first time 2 weeks ago on a Thursday evening around 7.30. The pub was empty except for 4 tables. We ordered a steak sandwich and a prawn cocktail. An hour later the prawn cocktail arrived and a meat pie? Another half hour later we got the steak sandwich with 3 small strips of steak and some under done onions. Although the prawn cocktail was very nice the same couldn't be said for the sandwich. However it came with a half hearted apology from the waitress. I must say what other diners were eating looked very nice but we left very dissapointed and shall not be returning in the near future. For all the hype this place gives I would tend to agree with all the other reviews on this.

The Well House Inn, Mugswell

I read with dismay when people complain about there not being enough facilities such as play areas or high chairs for children. Are we not forgetting that places such as the Well House are Pubs first and foremost and were never intended to accommodate children and babies in the first place. If thats what you want look to the Harvester or McDonalds. I for one am fed up trying to find a decent pub with adult only customers and enjoy a bite to eat without having to dodge children running up and down and listen to babies screaming.
