The George and Dragon, Swallowfield

Disaster !! it seems the decent barman was only filling in for a few weeks, popped down again and was confronted by a Napoleonic character called Frodo who barked orders at the hapless bar staff but even his beer fueled comments couldnt help them to pour a decent pint.

Food looked good so I reckon if you are eating give it a try but if you are after a pint try The Swan in Arborfield

What a lovely country pub, popped in at the weekend, Pride and Brakespear on tap, most amusing knowledgeable barman and attentive waitresses, what more could you ask for
