The Pepperpot, Tower Hill

Walked past this pub last Friday evening and the door was locked and all was dark inside, so it looks like another proper London pub has bitten the dust.
Went in here a few times last summer and the place was dead on every ocasion so feared the worst for it. Decent pub though- it's shabby exterior gave way to a nicely furnished, spacious boozer. Beer was good and the staff friendly. Sorry to see it go, if indeed it has gone.

The Hand and Shears, Barbican

Ace pub, nicely tucked away from the maddening crowds down a lovely back street near Barbican station. Good selection of real ale and friendly staff. Will definately be going back.

The Pride of Spitalfields, Shoreditch

Brilliant, brilliant pub. Friendly staff and punters, excellent atmosphere, good beer (Doom Bar is a top pint), nice pics on the wall. I could go on. A proper east end boozer, just when you thought they'd all been Shoreditched into submission.
