My favorite pub in the world bar none. Worth the bus, the ferry and the other bus just for a pint and a game of dominos. And you mind what you're saying about Rob the Mish flatcapman, he's a gent.

The Hole I' The Wa', Dumfries

The complete Dumfries pub experience. Could the hole i' the wa inn be the best pub in the world ever? Quite possibly. Or the worst. You can't deny its an original though. I don't know if they still have a guy playing the accordian at lunchtimes too, but that was cool as.

The Golf Tavern, Edinburgh

This used to be one of my favorite ever pubs, until it had the most souless "style bar" type makeover imagineable. When I first saw its new incarnation I was almost moved to tears, to think, no-one will ever sit on comfy leather sofas and rest their feet on slightly suspect old carpet in the Golf again. It breaks my heart. Still you can still get pint there after a round of golf on the links, I suppose. Sob.
