The Panton Arms, Cambridge

Went there on Saturday evening. A roomy pub with a good sized outdoor area . Quiet but pleasant. Friendly staff. Good IPA and a decent selection of real ales, Dizzy Blonde and Old Hooky amongst them. Food was reasonably priced and we ate decent burgers. Much more attractive than some of the touristy placed further in to town. Would go again.

The Prince Albert, Ely

I cannot understand the previous comment. I've been a regular visitor to this pub for the past year and have never found the toilets to be anything other than very clean and tidy. My wife says the same is true of the Ladies.

What is more, I am sure if anyone reported a problem to the bar staff, thy would deal with it promptly. The Albert is a friendly well-run, local.

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Went to the pub yesterday. The pub seemed unusually quiet for a weekday lunchtime. It's no longer a free house, having been taken over by Fullers last week. Sadly this means that they no longer sells Youngs bitter. Thy have all the usual Fullers range including Chiswick, however when we tried this it tasted pretty nasty - it may have been the end of the barrel. London Pride was fine. Dark Star also available.

The food service, which used to be fairly basic but good value with generous portions, seems to have deteriorated. It was pretty chaotic yesterday with bungled orders and long delays. In fairness, the waitress serving us did her best to sort things out and gave us a free pint for the inconvenience suffered - maybe these are just teething problems.

On a more positive note, the smell seems to have disappeared at long last
