The Manor, Glen Parva

at least the interior has improved greatly from the
previous owners and the no smoking policy is good.
BUT hardly any tables for people just having a drink,
loads of empty tables for food which you are not allowed to sit at!
food is ok but the two for one price actually just
makes it reasonable - at the full price it is far too expensive
staff not friendly at all - do not seem interested.
Food orders get mixed up and food takes forever to arrive
They need to sort out if they are a pub with food
in which case more tables for non-eaters required,
or a restaurant in which case they need to start again with menu and staff.
Shame because the area and building are great

Horse and Trumpet, Wigston

This pub is very friendly
Lunchtime they have two sittings 12.00 and 1.00 and
get very booked up - it is the best cooked fresh food at a really good price - great english dishes, roast beef, roast lamb, shepherd's pie, steak and ale pies, etc etc, and real puddings!
Evening - skittles alley with food is good value to hire for around 20 people, with food
