Britwell Ex-Services Men's Club, Britwell

Now localy called the Edwards Arms due to a new steward (Mr Edwards) and staff reorganising. More locals moving on-even though the nearest pub, which was less than 100metres away has closed down ( The LONDONER) Seems to be being run down diliberatly as housing developers building everywhere around this site and its a piece of prime land for a dozen houses or so. All things must pass. 3 other club type places local, The Chicken Ranch (Long furlong road) Britwell parish owned. The Gay Club (just its name-not customers general preferance) at Farnham Royal village hall. And The Farrady Social Club. Farady rd (Near Northern rd) I hope to get this places to get regester for locals information.

The Royal Standard of England, Beaconsfield

As I first visited this pub as mere lad with my Dad-probably about 1963/4 and have been a few times subsequently. I did enjoy several summer evenings in the small garden with some friends-drinking an odd pint of the original owd roger. Not that I honestly cound get though more that 1 or 2 halfs in an evening. Still I do recall that it was an amazing place to have a pint or two of excellent beer. During the 1970s the building was exstendend considerably-most noticably to the right of the main -barrel-entrance. Apart from the small area behind the entrance very little is original. I have never taken the food here but had the misfortune to eat and drink at the coleshill pub which has the same owners .I would certainly take a friend here for a drink for the abience but I think I will pass the menu on.

The Red Lion, Slough

A lovely old pub-which on my last visit (2010 autumn) was marred..Pretentious bottled beers at inflated prices and food of an overpriced, overated standard, Still seemed to be doing ok with the "crowd" who insist on drinking overpriced botted beer so good luck to the landlord. Still, plenty of room in the car park for the Range Rover and Im sure Smithers in accounts can hide this bill in the exspences. (Yes I remember having the odd drink in the garden of this pub, when it was a pub,and the only evening food was a pastie with HP sauce-old fart lol)
