The Angel Inn, Burnley

As a slightly demented lady of mature years I ended up in the Angel in Burnley by accident. The snow was down I'd just lost a mother and ended up in the travel lodge at the top of the road.
I've only rated it 8 out of 10 because I'm sure it's not for just any one. On the other hand if you want to support a decent honest pub, run by decent honest people ... this is the one you should give a go.

It doesn't do food.... ( but is happy to supply alternative suggestions, all good)
It doesn't do wine bar, disco dancing, polite arty farty stuff. It does a really good juke box, and good ale.
It is a good solid community pub, you will be safe here with a decent pint, in clean and friendly surroundings.
Local free houses like this, run by decent people, need to be supported when ever you happen to stubble across them.
I'm sorry they don't do rooms, I would have stopped rather than use the travel lodge, it might not be to every ones tastes, but if you ask for directions I'm sure they will point you in the right direction.

Good place.
