Number 22 Alehouse and Canteen, Darlington

What agreat place. Superb range of well kept ale, good wine selection and imported beers too. We found the place well run and clean. We especially liked the fact that there was a no nonesence approach to swearing and por behaviour, it seems that the bosses are very experienced and take no crap.

What a Gem! Yorkshire Pub of the Year 2005.Warm welcome every time from the chirpy Landlord, his Wife and excellent staff (some of whom I have seen working at the amazing Number Twenty 2 in Darlington). I have'nt come across any biggots yet; locals, business people and their families, farmers, all sorts of people enjoying GOOD ALE in a GREAT PUB. What's this bollocks about White Boar Bitter and fox hunting......
The White Boar was the centre of the "Coat of Arms" of Richard 111 and is carved on the window cill of the castle at Barnard Castle and is a part of the Coat of Arms of Lord Barnard...White Boar Bitter and Old Raby Ale....gettit! biggots...foxhunting grow-up.
