The Captain Kidd, Wapping

Sat 22nd October. A group of us turned up for a pre dinner drink at this pub. The manager said he would not serve us as we were a large group (10). He said rather brusquely that it is company policy not to serve parties as large as 8. Wapping High Street doesn't have that many pubs around and the taxi had now left so we were stranded. For some reason the manager seemed to delight in breaking this news to us and the people he was drinking with were laughing and snickering and said go and get a drink in so and so pub where they will charge you �3.00 a pint more. Terrible attitude + No manners = 0 business.
