Profile information

A quiet living widower, I like a peaceful old fashioned pub that serves good beer, (try the Slaughterhouse local ales) good food and good staff. The pub landlord and his staff are always welcoming and I and my ageing Springer Spaniel can never fail to find a comfy corner,to enjoy our quiet lifestyle so if you see an old man and his dog, say hello. Dusty doesn`t and neither do I!!!

The Cape of Good Hope, Warwick

Not terrific atmosphere inside but friendly enough staff, great two locks bitter and good food! Wonderful to take a bike ride up on the cut and have a couple of pints outside when the weather allows .

The Waterside Inn, Leamington Spa

No really good beer, not much atmosphere but the food is good and reasonably priced. on my way home from work so a reasonable stop off if the weather is good enough to sit in the garden. Nothing to get worked up about though....

The Cricketers Arms, Leamington Spa

Feeling a bit down one day (with good reason,) I called in for the first time in at least 3 years. Smurf is just on the good side of crazy, served me with good food, good Slaughterhouse, good company and a lovely fire to warm my spirits. Type of pub I love and left feeling on top of the world. They have now one more regular,( I live 5 mins walk away) from a perfect pub. Well done to all, much improved from the previous owners.
