Fantastic, love the Old Soaks Club idea that the true regulars, who are all still drinking there, are putting together. Overheard them talking about it just the other night.
bdmark despite obviously being a wan%#er with some unresolved personal issues, who clearly feels the need to voice said issues whilst hiding behind an alias instead of in the pub, I think you and your friend lostparker
{yes it really is that obvious as neither of you have commented on BITE before and just happened to at the exact same time, even slagging the Green Man off on the Spotted Horses page. Just a low blow.}
 have done the Green Man a favour.
Although I have been drinking there for nothing like 20 years I do pop in a good few times a week and must agree with Al B, it is the best pub in Putney ,by far.
I see the same faces there a lot of the time and imagine that your comments will only harden their resolve and bring a close pub even closer together.
If you havent already noticed the Old Soaks who frequent this pub that has gone down hill are more than a little protective of its reputation, even is said reputation isnt very good down the hill in Putney, which I doubt.

I suggest you either tell the manager if you have a problem or vote with your feet. You shall not be missed.

The Spotted Horse, Putney

cant really see where beerdrinkermark is comming from {you dont know a good pub when you see one} though i will conceed that the spot is a vast improvement on the days of sticky carpet and stools chained to the bar and barrels. but theres no place like the old horseshoe.
i have yet to try the food but it looks pretty decent and the beer is always good. great atmosphere with a buzzing crowd most evenings.
another plus for Youngs refurbs.

Prince Of Wales, Putney

i hadnt been here for a few years until the other week and have to say what an improvement. while i dont support the loss of a traditional pub over a gastro heres one thats worked. mainly by keeping the two elements seperate.
had a good pint of pride in the bar before an excellent meal in the resturant.
belly of pork and duck leg both supurb.
the only thing i dont like is the shade of green that has taken over most walls, other than that spot on.
