The Highland Inn, Little Woodhouse

Highland Laddie little woodhouse was my Grandmothers favourite stop off when coming home from the mill in 1927.She always had two halves of mild and said it was very good beer and kept her going at work the next day.She lived in Rutland Terrace which was the street running up the back of the pub. When I worked in Kirkstall Road I used to visit this pub sometimes and I was told by the then landlord that the stool at the end of the bar was where my Gran used to sit.Her name was Elizabeth Jackson. I am so glad the highland is open again and will be paying a visit to give it the once over
