The Stag, Victoria

Great pub. I often come here for a quick pint after work, read the paper, and wait for the tube to clear. Staff are friendly but not intrusive, and beer is good. A hideaway from the rest of Victoria, which can only be a good thing.

The Kings Ford, Chingford

Stumbled in here quite randomly yesterday. Food was good, Wetherspoon food varies in quality but this was one of the better ones. Staff were friendly.

However, this pub is living proof of the necessity of a smoking ban. There is a non-smoking area, but it doesn't make a major impact. I moved on pretty quickly after eating, fearing for my lungs.
