The Anglesey Arms Hotel, Caernarfon

Best location in the area, good quality ale (Marstons) pity they couldn't have more guest beers. The food has definitely been upgraded and is one of the best in the area.
Perfect for a summer evening pint.

The Snowdonia Parc Free House, Waunfawr

Perfect location, next to Welsh Highland Railway station. The beer is usually excellent, couple of beers from their microbrewery and a nice guest real ale too. Staff are pleasant. The food used to be lovely, a bit plain, but home made and well priced. Don't know what has happened in the last year or so, as the food is now quite simply; awful. I had a "Welsh Black Sirloin" last week and I know that it wasn't Welsh Black, it wasn't even worth mincing. My wife had the Lamb roast, and it looked and tasted like something from a Hospital canteen. The meal we had eaten there a few months back was equally dire. Simple then, Good Beer, nice staff, just don't eat there.
