Filthy McNasty's II, Twickenham

I am one of those local musicians who've played there, albeit Version 1, but will be returning again in July. The band were treated well by the staff there, can't say the same about the Red Lion. They haven't even had the decency to reply to the CD I popped in there last year... Never mind, their loss!

Personally I feel there's little enough live music venues around this area as it is.

I've been a regular in this pub for about 10 years... Until now! Over the past few years the service has been going steadily downhill. (As well as the imposition of under-age drinkers who I know personally).
The final straw was 2 days ago when I had to wait for 20 mins to get served, only to find that when I offered my payment, (a Scottish �10 note) it was refused. After my polite (and it was) directive to frustrated bartender that it is in fact legal tender and he was duty bound to accept it, he checked with manager, who didn't bother coming down to see me, and I was informed that too many forgeries of Scottish banknotes have been accepted there. What about the forgeries of English banknotes that they accept?? Bad service I can just about stomach, discrimination I can't. The pub next door, Edward's, accepted my Scottish banknote 2 mins later and will do from now on.
