The Command House, Chatham

Have to say that I don't know the area very well and have heard some bad things about Medway in general but I was very, very surprised when some friends and I went to the Command House on a Monday night.

The people were really surprisingly friendly, inoffensive and welcoming - there was a Karaoke on (as there is most Mondays apparently) and it was really great fun - no snobbiness or backbiting, everyone got applauded - what a fantastic night for a Monday; I don't think i've had such a good weeknight out in ages; most pubs seem to be dead on "school nights" but we really couldn't have asked for more.

Bar prices were on the expensive side but I don't really see how anyone could complain if there is entertainment provided with no entrance fee, especially on a Monday.

I would recommend this pub to anyone - I can't speak for the rest of the week but this must be one of the best and friendliest weekday nights out in the county. Top marks - well done, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
