The Selkirk, Tooting

Absolutely undeniably the WORST pub in Tooting, possibly in all of South London. I would only recommend it to my worst enemy if I wanted to destroy any semblence of a night out for them..hmmm. We booked for a large party and paid a price in the high 3 figures for a timely hot buffet. We GOT, an hour late, a few trays of cheap white bread sandwiches with processed meat prepared in haste & which made one guest vomit (had they forgotten?) and two bowls of undercooked low grade mushrooms in oil and fake butter who had suffered secondary drowning over and over again. Apparently these were for the wheat intolerant guests (bargain at �16 per bowl ten!) and veggies. they denied, very rudely and abruptly, the long phonecall over vegetarians and co and their promise to cater. 2 hours later long after the sandwiches and a couple of trays of Iceland's budget deep fried fishcakes (covered in breadcrumbs and yet for 'coeliacs', a small deep fried omelette cut into triangles, a small repulsive smelling limp salad featuring walnuts which weren't walnuts and beetroot which looked like it had been rescued from another dish and two tiny bowls of dodgy wedges. This apparently cost over �500. Not to mention the fortune they made out of us in drinks. DO NOT GO TO THE SELKIRK! Rude, rude, rude rip off merchants. They now have a boycott in place from us and we realise, a terrible repuation locally, deservedly so. As for ratings...where are the minus numbers?
