The Phoenix, City Of London

Wonderful to find a smoke free pub, however it isn't the most atmospheric or cutting edge place to hang out. Drinks are expensive and the clientelle are almost exclusively suited city types.
Naively perhaps, I had imagined that a smoke free pub would attract a more exciting clientelle that your usual pub, however the Phoenix clientelle included some scarily drunk blokes singing badly and loudly next to out table, just like you would get in any pub I suppose.
I would go again just to support the smoke free ethos but personally I would like it more if the place had more soul and character.
