i wouldn't recognise the bar from these descriptions, i now only go in occasionally for the pool table and the staff and atmosphere could hardly be less welcoming

i just wanted to defend it against the bloke who said it was always eurovision night, that happens only once a month (i think the second thursday of the month) and even then you can go upstairs and avoid it

The Friendly Society, Soho

this bar is friendly as its name suggests, and i've been many times... however on a recent visit on a sunday night, there was perhaps no more than a dozen people and then for some reason a DJ arrived and put on music at a volume level which was about double what was comfortable. the fixtures were shaking and it was not pleasant, so i ended up leaving and i've struck it off the list
