The Fox and Duck, Petersham

Now one of my favourite pubs in the area as being an ex local I know most people in there so of course I enjoy it more!

Looking at it objectively the pub is in a very accessible location due to being on the main road from Richmond to Kingston. Nice looking pub, with tables out front, a side bit and a small car park out back. Inside its a nice down to earth pub, populated by locals and people passing through. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere and the bar staff are good natured, friendly and happy to serve. I have not eaten there, but what I have seen looks good!

They have comedy nights and live music nights regularly and its rammed when they happen. They get good talent in and its great fun. They have all the sports channels available on TVs and a large projector screen. Also they show football games in 3D whenever possible (not sure if I like it though!).

Thumbs up.

The beer is good, usual collection of lagers and ales, bar snacks and shorts etc. And as mentioned by someone else, this is one pub you NEVER get trouble in. I have never seen any aggro ever in this place. The staff and locals do not and would not tolerate it.

The Wheatsheaf, Cuckfield

Stayed here this week overnight and was a pleasant experience. Room was clean and tidy if a little noisy due to being next to the main road. Beds were comfortable enough. The toilet was little cramped, being sandwiched between the wall and the bath. Also the toilet roll holder fell off the wall. Only one available plug socket.

the pub itself is nice, nice range of beers and the food is pretty good. Had one of their currys which was pretty good I have to say.

Whilst the staff were friendly, there simply were not enough of them! Not very prepared or organised, seems like they have just taken over running the place.

The New Inn, Ham

A gorgeous family pub for a quiet cosy drink. Nicely laid out, nice beer garden and a good location. Nice range of beers and guest ales.

The food here is absolutely wonderful, they changed chefs a while back and quality improved dramatically. Slightly pricey, but you get big portions. I had pot roast pheasant yesterday which was delicious!
