Used as a meeting place for a colleagues 30th birthday dinner locally - Seemed ok initially - then started to play some music (think thats what it was) at a decibel level making it impossible to talk without shouting - then had the barmaid threaten to throw out the birthday boy because he was talking too loudly??? She also refused to serve two late arrivals to the party as she deemed the party boy too drunk at that point. Given that this was a mixed sex group (not a stag party) and it was 8.00 oclock in the evening, I'm at a loss to understand her seemingly unfounded attitude, and unfortunately, a pub is most often judged on the quality of the staff. On that basis I would'nt recommend this pub to anyone with her behind the bar.
