The Stag, West Acre

A cracking pub well frequented by (very friendly) locals. Interior is a relic from the 80s, there's a separate eating area with white table cloths and napkins folded into hats! Three real ale pumps, knowledgeable and friendly barmaid. Spohisticated it is not. Worth a visit it most certainly is. Why yoda have i suddenly all gone?

The Earl Ferrers, Streatham

I had read really good things about this pub but a couple of sundays ago it was a like a creche - lots of little kiddies and their adoring parents everywhere. Yikes.

And, despite the huge range of pump clips displayed on the wall behind the bar, four out of five real ale pumps were out of action. Only Sambrook's Wandle available, which was fine, but then that too ran out....

I'm sure it could be lovely - the food was decent - but that afternoon it was not one of London's top ten pubs.
