The King's Head, Bledington

After the contrast of busy Bourton, Bledington is more typical of a Cotswolds village and much more peaceful. Pub is in a great spot overlooking the village green. Old building, but decorated in a contemporary style. Went Good Friday without booking a table and were fortunate enough to get the last one. Very geared towards their excellent food, to the point where a group of drinkers were politely asked to give up their table so that some diners could take it instead (mixed feelings on this one)! Beers were very well kept: Wadworth 6X, Wadworth Henrys IPA and Hooky Bitter. Not much of an atmosphere though, and not particularly friendly staff, hence the lower mark.

The Lamb and Flag, Hailey

Nice looking building in peaceful village. Large sized garden, play equipment in poor condition. Pub was empty when we visited April '09. Ales were Greene King IPA & Abbott's. Not great beer at the best of times, but this was below par.
