Jan's, Stoke Newington

Went in here one Saturday night in November 2008 just after it opened. Actually quite a nice decor, and as said by dpv has an interesting range of continental ales, particularly Belgian, think Duvel, Orangeboom, Frulli etc. Pub suffers from lack of clientele and atmosphere - perhaps the owners were thinking they could tap into the trendies of Church Street, when in reality it's just that little too far for their Birkenstocks and winkle pickers to walk - the Three Crowns being the furthest East they are willing to venture.
