What a find. Everything you need from a pub after spending four hours out in the cold and wet. Real log fire, friendly welcoming staff, a fine range of ales and good quality food at very reasonable prices. The home made chips are to die for. My dog did not want to leave and neither did I.

Masons Arms, Morpeth

Decent enough pub. Nice wood burning stove to welcome you on the cold day we visited. Staff friendly, welcoming and happy to accept our dog into the bar area. Two hand pulled beers on offer and both drinkable but a bit expensive. Bar food good but again a bit pricy for what you get. If its just a drink your after, go to the Black Bull down the road where the beer is better and a lot cheaper and it is where the locals drink.

The Fat Cat, Sheffield

First visit after friends recommendation but must have picked a bad day. Cannot fault the quality and range of beers or the pub character but the barman could at least smile as he serves and the hot food was mediocre at best. Will not be in a rush to return as there are better pubs in Sheffield.
