The Jolly Sailor, Farnham

Visited here twice this week to a refurbished and re-launched venue. The interior has had an excellent facelift and is of a very high spec finish. The semi-nautical theme is easy on the eye and the fittings & furnishings are of the highest quality, making it homely and comfortable throughout. An excellent decked area to the front and a secluded garden to the rear make pleasant retreats for relaxing in. Very well prepared food. Made with care and attention, not generic "gastro pub" rubbish, but tasty and flavoursome. Beers well kept, well priced and with great variety. Wine at a reasonable pub price, friendly and genuinely caring staff make it a pleasure to drink and dine here.

Plough, Farnham

came here, didn't hate it.
Garden is lovely, bar area clean, locals seem to be waiting for god, but it's a nice visit.
Will return for some ale and see if it's drinkable, bottles drinks seem to be ok.

The Nelson, Farnham

Finally tried here after years of believing it was over 25s only (apparently I was wrong) and having moved away before the age bar was reached and was very pleased with the whole place. Drinks are of top quality, all the ales are well kept and presented, excellent to find Tanqueray being served the RIGHT way (cucumber and ice, slimline and no citrus please). Tidy garden kept clean but could try harder to make it more interesting and a lovely heritage interior. slightly manic on carnival night, but that's to be expected. Food appears well portioned and rapidly delivered although I've yet to sample a proper meal.
