Crown Inn, Catton

Very nicely renovated inside, good food with varying menu. Music nights etc.. And the main thing - really excellent beer.
Friendly landlord & staff - genuine enthusiasm for what they do.

... going there tonight actually! Hurrah. :-)

The Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis, Southampton

Visited early evening mid week. As 'spoons go it was ok. I had a couple of pints of Ringwood, service was fine, pleanty of staff on. The beer was in good condition. Totally characterless, but if you want a cheapish swift half on the way to a proper pub it'll do.
