The Station Hotel, Bitterne Park

Great pub, great staff. recent change in manager seems to have the staff working well and they seem happier. food is great, beer is a huge improvement on recent years and its a nice atmosphere even on match day. this place had a huge re-fit a couple of years ago which has done wonders for the place. the quiz on thursday night was very good aswell!

does anyone drink here atall in the hythe area? used to be a right dive a few years back, but im not expecting much more from the "urban beach bar"

The Old Mill Inn, Holbury

best enjoyed on a friday night...but get there before 8 if you want a parking space near the pub. live music in the barn, well equipped smoking area, good range drinks, door security is present on friday nights so there is a very small amount of trouble. good pub and its my preference on friday nights, better then town
