How can I put it? An upmarket Wetherspoons or a little bit of Yuppie Clapham in Kennington? Ideal if you an estate agent seeking a quick bottle of ubiquitous Peroni on the way up west!

The Ship, Lambeth

I absolutely love this pub since its refurb. Wonderfully friendly staff and a decent ale - and anywhere with Sambrooks on wins my vote! There has been, in my opinion, a dearth of decent pubs in the local area that slide between the pretentious (Grand Union, Three Stags) and the grotty (Dog House on a bad day), so The Ship is a breath of fresh air!
