The Brewery Tap, Limehouse

Popped in for a pint before a gig at the Troxy (next door). Left without ordering because a) it was a bit of a dump and b) despite the name it did not serve real ales. Neither a brewery or a tap associated with this place.

The Sheaf View, Heeley

I can't think of a better pub in terms of real ale choice and quality, continental beers and whiskeys. I'm hard pushed to think of a more pleasant, mixed clientele. I know it can't be beaten for value. Indeed, I'll be there in about an hour.

Nursery Tavern, Sheffield

Unremarkable, but nice enough, with some comfy leather seats and fireplaces. Ale drinkers might be a little disappointed, but (unfussy) wine drinkers will be chuffed: You can get a bottle for under 6 quid.
