Park Tavern, Chichester

Throughout Chichester there are quite a few pubs and bars but there are very few True Pubs left. A place you can go to with a group of friends or on your own. Well the Park Tavern is just that place. You'll never feel lonely here. The staff are amazingly friendly but not false forced smiles. The food is outstanding and whether ...it be a Fishfinger sandwich or a full on roast you are after it will hit the mark.
The other thing that sits this pub above head and shoulders above all of it's competition are the events that it puts on. Always rasing money for charity from Carol Singers to sh*t Shirt night. However the events are always well balanced that if you are taking part enough people do that you don't feel silly but likewise if you don't take part you are still part of the overall amazing atmosphere that this wonderful pub brings.
This pub also has one of the most fun and relaxed quiz nights you could possibly want to take part in.
Hats off to the Landlord and Lady.

The Coal Exchange, Emsworth

This is a fab little pub, great friendly bar staff, a great range of drinks and bar snacks. and what the pub lacks in space it makes up for in personality, the punters are generally a happy bunch that you can join in a conversation with.

The Sussex Brewery, Emsworth

This pub has all the makings of a lovely small town pub, you walk in the door and there is a lounge bar and saloon bar. It has that oldy worldy feel to it almost like you have drifted back to the days when the oyster catchers would have popped in for a swift half after selling their wares at the market. Sadly the staff are also oldy worldy and if you are not a local expect to stand around waiting for the lone member of bar staff to deign to serve you. The three other customers in the pub will go instanlty silent until the bar maid/landlady has been rude enough to make you and your small party of four leave to another pub, and the reason, one of us asked for a tequila with salt. Heaven forbid that a pub would have salt behind the bar. so in closing i would happily recommend any of the other 10 or so pubs in emsworth and i would have to be near dehydration to even think about spending a penny in there ever again
