The Eel Pie, Twickenham

Great locals' pub. Really good choice of beer (Sussex Brewery - Badger, Ferret etc) and entertaining quiz on Thursday nights. Food not up to much...head for one of the Italians on Church Street instead.

The Clubhouse, Twickenham

Agree with other reviewers that this is a very welcome change to the majority of other pubs in and around Twickenham - very friendly, cosy atmosphere. Open fire and games behind the bar were a particular bonus. Good pint of Pride and decent house wine. The food looked good too!

The Albany, Twickenham

The Albany has been done up really well - the perfect gastropub feel, and the staff are all very friendly and keen to please. The problem is the food just isn't good enough (and too expensive for what you get - bland flavours and mean portions), and the choice of real ale is very poor. Really hope they improve as it's got all the makings of a great gastropub (something Twickenham desperately needs!).
