The Prince Albert, Camden

Had a truly memorable time here on New Year's Eve (and for all the right reasons, I hasten to add).

Food was excellent as was the service and whilst I enjoyed the wine cellar on the evening, my partner was on the ale concentrating on the Strong & Dark (Twickenham Brewery), that he reported to be very good.

Party games and a quiz were the order of the night, and whilst our grey matter didn't quite compare to some (so no prizes for us!!) we did have a wonderful time and made new friends (those we tried to copy off - which was most tables, to be fair).

The Fellow, Camden

Not too sure about this place.

Whilst the food is good and the wine list extensive (but also expensive), I couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable here. Couldn't quite put my finger on whether it was the slightly cold service and the sterile feel of an empty restaurant, or whether it was the decor.

Anyway, worth popping into if you are hungry and in the area, but make sure you've got funds in the bank or someone else is paying...!!

The Three Hammers, Mill Hill

A little bit like an airport lounge in appearance, but having said that, whoever has designed the place for Ember Inns (presumably one of their in-house bods) has done quite a good job of splitting up the large ground floor area into cosy and intimate sections.

Ok the food isn't all that, but really you should know what to expect when walking into an Embers Inn, so if you're not expecting too much you won't be disappointed.

The drink selection was extensive and I saw no evidence of the groups of adolescents hanging around that other posters have witnessed.

Would go back when in the area.
