The Brace of Pheasants, Nr Dorchester

We love this pub and the food, owners and location.
It is privately owned and the owners take great pride in it and have recently added some new rooms in a seperate building to the rear for people to stay.
Plush is a hidden village in a wonderful setting and I cannot recommend it too much. We drive 10 miles to go there, because it is our favourite Dorset pub!
the food is very good and the menu is sourced from local produce. Locals use it regularly.

The Crown Inn, Ibberton

I have been to this pub under the old managment years ago and it was more like a private living room-very quiet and largely empty.
Now it is under private ownership and has been toatlly revamped and has excellent food and reputation locally. beers are good but i'm not an expert on beer. It is a wonderful setting in a quite Dorset village and i recommend it to people who stay in our cottage nearbyish.
