The English Lounge, Manchester

Not been here for a little while but I remember this being quite a quiet place, perfect for a catch up over a nice glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere, without any overly-loud music, and the food wasn't bad either. Might be tempted to pay another visit sometime soon

The Bank, Manchester

Been here quite a few times - there's a cracking bottle of wine for about �7, and the food is good as well. Its rather quiet during the week, but does pick up again come friday night. I would definitely recommend this pub as it is very chilled out and there is a mix of ages, which I always think is a good thing.

The Vineyard, Newcastle

I absolutely love this place - there's always a great atmosphere, fab cocktails and the staff are very friendly. Its a great people-watching place as well and all my friends who I have taken there have loved it as much as I have! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good drink in a friendly and relaxing setting!
