I would have to agress the localvillager. Me, friends and family used to go into the pub a bit, there was a great village atmosphere. since the new landlord has taken over (now over two years ago) prices have gone up, for example a pint is mostly likely going to cost you over �3.60 and bottled ciders are around �4.10-�4.20. evan a packet of some crisps and snacks can range over �1.10. The pub has become lifeless, and the people that do still go (I have witnessed) are drug taking and trouble. This is definitely not a place I would take my family or young children to again. As the pubs customers have reduce the landlord doesn't heat the premises sufficiently and it can be extremely cold. The lack of good quality food and sport on the TV (due to no licensed sports channels) also detracts customers to the more successful club in the village. Bearing the Everard's name you would have thought this would not happen to a much loved family village pub, Although business profit seems to be more in their agenda than the service that is provided.
