The Pot Still, Glasgow

On a sodden Wednesday night In Glasgow the Pot Still provided me with a perfect evening sampling a HUWGE selection if Whiskeys and local beers. The staff were both amazingly knowledgeable and very friendly as were the other drinkers. Well worth a visit If you are in Glasgow and fancy a proper Scottish 'Swally

The Albion, Barnsbury

Spent a very pleasurable Sunday afternoon there celebrating a 30th birthday and despite all the crap reviews around was pleasantly surprised...good selection of beers and a good sunday lunch menu all catered for by responsive, if rushed-off-their-feet, staff.
VERY Expensive and the epitome of Islington 'millionaires row'...but then what do you expect in a lovely part of Islington?

The Fox, Hanwell

nicely located and priced
located near the canal and Hanwell centre the Fox is a simple looking place popular with locals and walkers
good selection of beers and wines and the sunday lunch is a nice big hot portion of chicken,lamb or beef
also very popular with dog walkers who are catered for with doggie snacks behind the bar.
