The Blackbird, Earls Court

Decent Fullers ale and pie house, nice surroundings (obv used to be a bank) and well kept stock Fullers ales - Pride, ESB, Chiswick, Discovery. Doesn't seem to get the seasonal beers on tap which is a shame. Ate here and the pies do the job, big and tasty.

Fullers now have Scarsdale Tavern and Hereford arms both within 10 mins walk of here though and would opt for one of them first.

The Courtfield, Earls Court

Bizzarely low score for this pub, which is actually a very good one. Nice decor, friendly and busy and the food looked good value. Plus six well kept real ales on tap (Timmy Taylors, Pride, Abbots, Adnams Bitter, Morrisey Fox and Tetleys Dark Mild at the moment) is amazing for the area - can count the number of other pubs with 6 pumps in K&C on one hand! Would rank this along with Blackbird as the best Earl's Court boozers by a clear margin.

The Prince of Teck, Earls Court

Terrible place - trying to be a cross between a sports bar and a pub with wine bar furnishings and ending up being a poor effort at any of the three. Dodgy tasting ice cold beer (Pride or Spitfire) not worth drinking either. On the plus side staff seemed friendly enough, and a good place to watch idiots sparring (two 'handbags' efforts in the half hour I was there). Wouldn't return.
