classic canterbury boozer because:
a) it's crap
b) the neck-snapping reaction you get when you walk in
c) the pool table can only be properly utilised by contortionists and/or midgets.
d) they hate students... yet (in this case) their pub is PHYSICALLY ATTACHED to Lanfranc halls.
These attributes (particularly d) are typical of canterbury pubs.
