The Earl of Lonsdale, Notting Hill

Being a regular expectations were high with a new couple taking over recently. Unfortunately, 'moving on' old people with opinions doesn't enhance the atmosphere. One was told to try elsewhere simply for questioning the short measure he was given. A plus side of most Sam Smith pubs, apart from cheap drinks, is the level of customer service. The present management hasn't yet learnt the words 'hello' and 'goodbye'. At it's best the Lonsdale, despite being on the busy Portobello Road, is a community pub with plenty of regulars. It's awful when new people come along and destroy this. Luckily, there's still enough old characters in the place to justify a visit, ar least for the time being.
