Black Dog, Chilmark

What a cracker of a pub, the out side is beautifully cared for, much like the village of Chilmark. As a regular user of the A303, I travel to Cornwall many times a year, the Black Dog is a perfect stop off for me as I live in London, its a great half way point. The new landlord and landlady are very welcoming the interior is fresh clean and cosy. I have eaten here many times for lunch, dinner and sunday roast. I can honesly say that I have not been to a pub where the food has been so plentiful and of such good quality. The menu holds plenty of options for all tastes and the produce is sourced locally at a high quality but at very reasonable prices. As a "foodie" living in london I eating in some of the worlds highest awarded restaurants and pubs, this pub tucked away in Chilmark really holds its own. The beer is kept to an exceptional quality I'm sure Wadworth would like to have all their beers sold at this standard.I would thoroughly recommend the pub and the food, go there, you won't be disappointed.
