The Moon and Spoon, Slough

On nights other than fri/sat quite quiet. It's a bit impersonal and in the comfy seats feels like sitting in a "world of leather" showroom, but who cases with Guiness at less than � 1.50 a pint on a Monday night. A good place to go if your on a tight budget and want to drink a bit, or a place to meet friends before going on somwhere else.

The Henry VI, Eton

This pub has been tarted up since I was last visited, its food and decor has gone a bit more upmarket. The lunchtime food menu is good if a fraction pricey. As a guide to main couse sausages and mash in onion gravey costs � 8.99 although it does have a � 4.50 sandwich menu.

The Pub used to be buzzing in the evening, with 30+'s buzzing to live music over the weekend. I don't know if this is still the case.
