The Alwyne Castle, Islington

Very poor service at this pub. It wasn't busy, but we were kept waiting an hour for a Sunday Roast - enquiries as to its whereabouts were repeatedly fobbed off by various disinterested bar staff who didn't seem to think there was anything wrong at all. Meanwhile, the chef chomped away at his dinner - no delay with his - as cutlery was being dried with paper towels in the middle of the restaurant area. After the third enquiry, we discovered that the missing meals had been sitting on a hot plate drying out for at least 20 minutes. Avoid this place.
