The Garibaldi, St Albans

Popped in here the other day and was pleasantly surprised! There was still a slight smell of paint in the air as the place had been recently decorated (finally). Much improved since the last time I was there about 6 months ago. On previous visits it felt like a slightly rowdy Irish pub. No disrespect to the couple that ran it but they just pulled in the wrong crowd for me.
I enjoyed a couple of pints HSB and Pride, well served and kept.
I couldn't be sure if the gents working the bar were just caretaking the place or were the new tennats!? Either way it was a pleasant and friendly visit and i'll be back soon for another HSB or two.

The Seven Stars, West Kensington

I went to this pub before a Chelsea game and was shocked with what i saw.
All of the Fullers signage had been removed which rather concerned me as i approached the pub and when i went inside there was no cask ale available, there were hand pumps hiddden in the corner but no ale.
The only reference of any kind to this being a fullers pub was an old fullers mirror on the wall.
We went in an hour or so before kick off and it was literally dead, not at all surprising really. A very horrible place, run down and surely is no longer a fullers pub. We left within one minute of arriving, never again.
