The Florence Tavern, Islington

Taken over by new management recently. Really nice, friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff. Lots of old, comfy sofas to lounge around on and had wi-fi too. A modern refurbishment that's retained the traditional boozer vibe. Got given some free food the night we went as the chef was testing out the new menu. Venison sausages were v.nice. Had some decent quality beers and ales on tap and a great wine selection. Prices were average for the Islington area which keeps the undesirables out I suppose. The smoking area was out the front unfortunately but we were told there is a terrace refurb going to happen very soon. Will be going again definitely.
