The George Inn, Chideock

Although we live locally we had never been to this pub before Steve and Emma took over earlier this year, so can't compare to how it was previously. Our experience there has been fantastic - a super sun-trap beer garden, and such a fantastic lunch (half pint of prawns with home made mayonnaise and a superb sausage sandwich) that we went back with mum-in-law for her birthday treat. Good choice of food, including for children, sensible prices for food, and I had a lovely leek and mushroom gratin which beats any vegetarian option I've sampled before. Looking forward to going back soon for the Thursday night pizza cooked outside in a wood-fired oven.
