After the refurbishment, a formerly scary pub (at least if you weren't white or a QPR supporter) is now yet another gastropub with high prices. But at least it's relatively friendly, my money is good here and the back garden has got some fantastic wheelie-cart seating.

The Crescent, Mornington Crescent
I thought this pub looked clean if bland. Then I had a curry in there, and spent the next two hours vomiting at a friend's flat. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE.

We popped in on a quiet Tuesday night, with less than 10 customers in the whole place. It still took 10 minutes for the bar staff to deign to ask us what we wanted - and when we pointed to one of the special cocktails on offer, he had to phone someone to ask how to make it. At which point we left.
I don't ask much from a pub, but I do ask that the staff are relatively interested in serving you, and offering what they claim to offer.
