The Elm Park, Elm Park

I have lived just around the corner from this place for the last couple of months.
Having frequented the Elm Park on occasions, it’s an unloved barn of a place. The film; One flew over the cuckoos nest, comes to mind when describing the Elm Park. Regulars taking there medication, dispensed by nurse Ratchet behind the bar, in the form of the strongest lager. If you are planning a visit my advice is no eye contact with anyone in the bar. Last time I went in, the bloke next to me at the bar asked for a pint of whatever was coming out of the fosters tap today. Most definitely not foster.

The Freemasons Arms, Covent Garden

Travelled up from the shires to have a beer or two in the Freemasons last Saturday. With the intention of catching up with friends and watching the play off final.(West ham V Blackpool) Only to be told by Linda That the football attracts the wrong sort of drinkers. And would not be shown as the afternoon theatre types don`t like it we were told. So Linda you lost out on the six of us spending the afternoon in your pub at the best part of �4.00 a pint.
The Rising Sun around the corner was more than helpful.
