The Blacksmiths Arms, Cudham

Nothing to criticise here, good food, good beer, reasonably priced and served by efficient, friendly staff. But be advised: if you are going to eat here book a table in the dining area because the front door is close to the bar and your table could be constantly bumped by passing regulars, as ours was. We will remember that next time, and there will be a next time. This place is too good to forget.

The Dew Drop Inn, Hurley

The beer here is as good as you will get anywhere, beter than many. They run a courtesy bus for the surrounding villages. I arrived too late to eat but the menu is a 'must try' tempter; the prices are on the high side but not expensive for what's on offer. I'll be going back to eat. quiz night is Tuesday.

Ye Olde Swan Inn, Thames Ditton

I found this pub to be satisfactory in every way: good menu; reasonable prices (if you get about as much as I do); friendly helpful staff; comfortable surroundings; well-kept draught beers; what more do you want. The toilets are minimal but clean (is there really only one toilet in such a busy place?). And the car park is a challenge. I had lunch there today and loved it.
